The National Leprosy and Tuberculosis Control Programme of Sierra Leone, a country with high burden of TB, sent this open letter to the corporation Danaher, and its subsidiary diagnostics test maker Cepheid, requesting a reduction in the price of the GeneXpert test for extensively drug-resistant TB (Xpert MTB/XDR), so that more people can be properly diagnosed and receive timely treatment.
